Backpacks, helmets and water bottles.<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">No prior hiking experience necessary.<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">On these tours, our average group&#8217;s age range is 65-73 years young.<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">We provide all necessary gear (including backpacks and water bottles),  coffee\/tea\/juice in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon.<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">Tours begin at our shop (125 E. Main Street, Escalante) 7:00 AM (May-August) and\u00a07:30 AM (April &#038; September-November).<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">Tours generally return between 2:00 PM &#8211; 3:30 PM depending on group size<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">Distance; 3-4 miles on uneven terrain\/no trails.<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">Elevation gain\/loss up to 500 ft.<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">The guides determine each day&#8217;s canyon the morning of the trip based on the weather and group. Safety First.<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">The canyons we guide are within a 20-40 minute drive from our main street shop.<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">We take up to 8 guests on the hiking tours. (We can accommodate up to 10 guests on Private Tours).<\/li><li role=\"listitem\">We specialize in guiding off the beaten path locations.
